We are actually trying to come up with a way to modularize these actions and components for Android just like we did with iOS soon, and that's why we couldn't add the $media action yet.
To elaborate, the way a lot of device features work on Android is different from iOS--users get a huge dialog of "required permissions" when they first download them on the play store even for small device features like camera access--and including all these modules natively into Jasonette without an easy way to remove them from the final build will result in all Jasonette apps requesting every single permission available. So even if you all you did was display "Hello World", it would ask for camera access, addressbook access, map access, etc.
On iOS the policy was much more permissive so we didn't need to do this except for certain features like push notifications, but on Android it becomes a very serious problem.
Anyway that's the reason for the delay, we're trying to flesh out how to modularize actions and components first, and then start adding these features afterwards. Good news is $media is the first action to be implemented once we figure this out so it should be soon. Please keep an eye on the github repo or the slack channel for the progress.
